PROFESSIONALS FIRST, THEN AMATEURS: CARTIGLIANO IS READY FOR THE SERENISSIMA GRAVEL 2024

On Friday, October 18, the Serenissima Gravel returns as part of the Ride the Dreamland series. The professionals’ race will start and finish at the Villa Morosini Cappello in Cartigliano (VI). Riders will complete a 37.5 km circuit four times, adding up to a total of 150 km. After the professionals, amateurs will compete on the same course.

Just five days after the European Gravel Championship in Asiago, the province of Vicenza again welcomes the cream of the gravel scene with the Serenissima Gravel 2024. The event, organized by PP Sport Events, features a flat yet challenging 37.5 km circuit, of which 24 km are on white roads or grass, giving us a total of 96 km off-road. The route will pass through the towns of Cittadella (PD), Fontaniva (PD), and Tezze sul Brenta (VI), with a 15 km off-road stretch along the Brenta River, including the Parco dell’Amicizia and Parco delle Basse del Brenta.

This will be the fourth edition of the Serenissima Gravel, with victories so far having gone to Alexey Lutsenko, Robin Froidevaux, and Florian Vermeersch. For the first time, in 2024, the event will also be open to amateurs, who will complete one less lap. PP Sport Events and Gravel - The Veneto has over 3,000 km of off-road paths, with more being developed. PP Sport Events, founded by Filippo Pozzato, was one of the first organisations in Europe to promote gravel racing. The success of the Serenissima Gravel helped bring the first UCI Gravel World Championship to Veneto in 2022, and PP Sport Events is now helping organise the 2024 UEC Gravel European Championship in Asiago.
